The woods has a nice path cut through it so running was fairly easy going. Ruth, Layla and I started at the bottom and walked up the road, and I do mean up, which warmed us up.

At the top, I started the Garmin having already had it on for a while so it could find its bearings. Roo took off with her ususal quickness while I lagged behind.

Layla trotted along nicely beside Roo but stopped until I caught up. This was annoying Roo somewhat so I caught up and ran with Layla instead. She didn’t stop but I was hoping she would pull me along; she’s too gentle for that.

It was only 1.44 miles and we ran it in 17 minutes but its a start.
